I love Halsey and have always been able to relate to her in so many ways. We are both POC, bisexual, bipolar women who happen to be born on the exact same day. But little did I know how much more we had in common, and how deeply her poetry and art would impact me. These poems were able to put words to feelings, thoughts and situations that I never knew could be described. I’m not a poetry expert, but to me, these poems were so raw, beautiful, complex and overall made me feel so understood. You can tell she is a lyricist with how she writes poems, and as a fan of her music, this made the book even better.
