The Intimacy Experiment by Rosie Danan

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Genre: Romance, Contemporary

“She looked like the first meteor shower he’d ever seen—impossible and brilliant, so far away but somehow also right inside his chest.”

Ethan a Rabbi and Naomi an ex-pornstar join forces to host a steamy sex-positive seminar series on Modern Intimacy, at Ethan’s synagogue. They both gain from this partnership but they don’t realize they’re also quickly gaining feelings for each other.

This was a really fun read and honestly… I am super surprised by how much I liked it. I usually don’t like books with religious characters so I was hesitant to start this, but once I did I couldn’t put it down. I liked both of the characters but hands down fell in love with Naomi Grant, what a sexy badass. Their romance was fun and steamy and I was super satisfied with how their romance unfolded.

I enjoyed getting a glimpse at Judaism and Jewish culture, you don’t often see it being represented in this genre. Reading the seminars though was great, I loved how progressive and positive they were. This was honestly just such a great concept and an enjoyable read. The roommate was also great and think Rosie does such an incredible job at creating a unique and fun story. I totally recommend reading this.
