Life’s Too Short by Abby Jimenez

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Genre: Romance, Contemporary

“I like living. I have sometimes been wildly, despairingly, acutely miserable, racked with sorrow, but through it all, I still know quite certainly, that just to be alive, is a grand thing.”

Vanessa is a Youtuber that has travelled the world and lives life on her own terms. But after her half-sister Vanessa leaves her infant with her she is stuck playing mommy. The last person she expects to show up offering help is the hot lawyer who lives next door.

AHHH! This was such a great book, hands down the best book in the Friend Zone series. It touches on some serious topics such as ALS, Addiction and loss, which means there is angst but also romance, chemistry, great characters and realistic conflict. I cried, laughed, and honestly can’t recommend this book enough. I usually dislike books that have babies/children, but it didn’t bother me at all.

The romance was just so good and I was invested from the moment they met. Adrian and Vanessa have so much chemistry and it was beautiful as well as heartbreaking to watch both overcome lives obstacles. I don’t even want to say too much because I just highly recommend this. I am looking forward to seeing what Abby Jimenez writes next!
