She Drives Me Crazy by Kelly Quindlen

“People break our hearts, but they create more room in them first, and that room makes it possible for us to become more ourselves.”

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

Scottie is still trying to get over her ex-girlfriend that she thought was the one. After a difficult day, she ends up crashing into a car, owed by her nemesis, Irene. Due to this accident, they begin carpooling together and things get a bit more complicated.

This is a cute coming of age romance with some really fun tropes. The characters are complex and I loved watching them grow throughout the book. Scottie and Irene’s dynamic and banter was really fun to read, they have amazing chemistry. All of the secondary characters were great and I loved the side romances that happened. I was super happy that the parents were supportive and weren’t the antagonists.

I don’t think enough books touch on young heartbreak and I think this was beautifully done. This book was angsty, funny, wholesome, romantic and really enjoyable. Highly recommend this!
