“But for your own state of mind, for your own well-being, it’s important to take a second and remember the people who love you and support you. The people who make you happy. The people who make you one of the lucky ones.”
Sky Baker is openly gay but tries to lay low since he lives in a small town. He has a crush on a classmate so he and his best friend start planning the gayest promposal ever. But what happens when his plan is leaked to everyone by a homophobic student. What will he do now?
This was a cute coming of age story for those who might feel alone or different. I loved the representation in this book and thought the overall story was very cute. I think I am too old to really enjoy coming of age stories now but I legit felt my heartbreak at the discrimination portrayed.
The characters were funny, relatable and I wanted them to find happiness. This really made me think about high school and really captured the essence of that period of time. I was satisfied with how things unfolded and would totally recommend this.
